AJ Lee as a character has been characterized by her connections and the men she encompassed herself with. To start with there was Daniel Bryan, her first love who treated her frightfully and rebuked her for his deficiencies. At that point there was Kane and CM Punk, for whom she changed essential parts of her identity to please. After that was John Cena, a definitive great gentleman who thought more about WWE than he thought about her, and afterward Dolph Ziggler who appeared to be contractually committed to separation with her once he turned face.
